Vikrant Massey has clarified his recent social media post, which implied that he is considering retiring from acting. The actor said that he is burnt out and needs a long break to take care of his health.
A day after implying in a social media post that he is retiring from acting after 2025, Vikrant Massey said that his words had been ‘misread’ by the public. In an interview, Vikrant clarified that he is simply taking a ‘break’ because he is ‘burned out’. He also said that his health has taken a hit, although he didn’t specify his ailment.
He told News18, “I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health is also acting up… People misread it.” The actor’s spokesperson also shared a statement where he said that he is taking a break because his health has “taken a hit.” He shared that he wants to improve his craft as he is feeling a “sense of monotony at the moment.” He insisted that his post has been “misinterpreted.” His statement read, “Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, want to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted. That I am quiting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right.”
In his social media post on Monday, Vikrant had written, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal…But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right.”
