Odisha Advances Governance with Mission Karmayogi Implementation

Bhubaneswar 30.11.2024

Honourable Prime Minister Modi’s vision, captured in the tagline “From Karmachari to  Karmayogi,” echoes deeply with Odisha’s proactive participation in Mission Karmayogi  activities in the State. Around 50,000 employees and almost all departments of Government  of Odisha reported to have been on-boarded on the i-GOT (integrated Government Online  Training) platform by end of November 2024.

The iGOT platform provides a robust digital framework for personalized learning journeys,  covering functional, domain-specific, and behavioural competencies. By leveraging this  platform, Odisha aims to create a comprehensive learning ecosystem that enhances public  service delivery, promotes accountability, and ensures citizen satisfaction.

The Chief Secretary, Odisha Shri Manoj Ahuja has reviewed the progress of the i-GOT  Activities in Odisha at Lok Seva Bhawan today in presence of Additional Chief Secretary,  General Administration and Public Grievances Department, Shri Surendra Kumar, Director  General, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Shri G. Mathivathnan, Executive Director,  Centre for Modernizing Governance Initiative (CMGI) Shri Satya Rath and other senior  officials of Government.

Soon after the signing of the MoU between Government of Odisha, Capacity Building  Commission and Karmayogi Bharat on 23 October 2024, Gopabandhu Academy of  Administration, being designated as the nodal agency for implementation of Mission  Karmayogi, organised workshops for the nodal officers of all departments. Step-by-step  guidance was provided for smooth onboarding on the i-GOT platform, with sessions by i-GOT  (Karmayogi Bharat) officials.

The onboarding process is going on and it is expected that all the 4 lakh government  employees will be on-board within the next few days.

Help desks have been set up by Centre for Good Governance, Odisha (CGGO), a vertical of  Gopabandhu Academy of Administration at Loka Seva Bhawan and Kharavela Bhawan to  assist the Departments in data validation and registration issues.

The Chief Secretary expressed satisfaction over the speed and scale of implementation and  emphasized on the need for mandatory training to be undergone by each and every  government official. This process will build capacity of each employee which in turn help in  improving the delivery of services and functioning of the government.

He further stated that the progress of the implementation especially the number of training  modules undergone by the officials will be reviewed periodically at the level of Chief  Secretary.
